Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus, November 23 1992 is an American musician, singer and actress. Noted for her distinctive raspy voice, her music incorporates elements from a variety of genres and styles, including pop, country pop, hip hop, experimental, and rock. With a total of 13 songs, Cyrus is the female artist with the highest number of US Billboard 200 Top-five Albums in the 21st Century. Cyrus's life in the public eye, her images and performances have often sparked controversy and garnered extensive media coverage. Cyrus was born to Billy Ray Cyrus and became a popular teen star when she played the title character on the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. In her role as Hannah Montana, she attained three top-five soundtracks on the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's discography also includes the US number-one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008), and Bangerz (2013) The top five albums are Can't Be Tamed (2010) Younger Now (2017), Plastic Hearts (2020) and the album for free Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz (2015). Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (2019) also debuted among the top five. Plastic Hearts became Cyrus's most well-known album and her debut entry on the Billboard Rock Chart, debuting in the top spot on the chart. The album also included the first single "Midnight Sky". She released other singles including "See You Again", 7 Things", "The Climb" as well as "Party in the U.S.A." and "Party in The U.S.A.". "Party in the U.S.A." was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Cyrus's career highlights include appearances in the Time 100 list in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award, and placement on the Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists Chart in 2019. She has adopted a vegan lifestyle since 2014. She founded the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014 which is focused on homeless youth and the LGBT community.
