Will Ferrell rose to fame for his role as a character on 'Saturday Night Live,' before appearing on such major-screen comedies such as 'Elf"Anchorman," and 'Talladega Nights.' Will Ferrell was born in Irvine, California in 1967. He began his career in comedy by playing an actor for the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, the group called the Groundlings.
