Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop-rock
boy band formed in 2009. The group is made up of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow,
Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They first signed to Nick Records in 2009
before transferring to Columbia Records. The group appeared in Nickelodeon’s TV
show Big Time Rush. From November 28th, 2009 to July 25, 2013, the show aired.
The premiere episode introduced the group's first single for promotion,
"Big Time Rush". The band has released three albums, including BTR in
2010 and Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven in 2013. The band took an indefinite
hiatus in 2014 that lasted until 2021 when the band resumed live performances
and released the single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon has
signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 as they were simultaneously airing
the tv show Big Time Rush. In the following year, Nickelodeon partnered with
Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show and include the original music to
the show. The series' first single, "Big Time Rush" was released on
November 29 the 29th of November, 2009. Officially made public on Nickelodeon
the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast
worldwide. It debuted during a one-hour special preview of the series and it is
currently the show's main theme. Promo singles such as "City is
Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and others were also released during
the series. Big Time Rush remixed "Famous" by Play. It was made
available to iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010, Another song, "Halfway
There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 following its debut on
the series. The band soon became their first charting track on the Billboard
Hot 100. It was ranked 93 due to digital sales. To promote the release of their
debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget about You" on the
21st of September 2010. The album, called BTR it was released on October 11 in
2010. The album peaked at number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies
within its first week.
