Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was the daughter of Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a homemaker as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and CEO). Stone is of Swedish, German and British Isles descent. Stone began her acting career as a child at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she staged her first performance in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. Through her teens Stone performed in of numerous shows before she made the choice to pursue acting as a profession. According to the official account, she made a PowerPoint presentation, which was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and later titled "Project Hollywood", in an attempt to persuade her parents to allow her to leave school and relocate to Los Angeles. The pitch succeeded and she and her mother moved to LA and she completed her schooling at home. She then spent working on auditions. Her TV breakthrough when she was awarded the part of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 Reality/Talent show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) which led to several smaller TV roles in the following years. Her first film role was Jules in Superbad (2007) and, after a string of impressive performances, her lead role in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a star. She attended Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. Although she's a redhead, the hair color that is natural to her hair is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color for Superbad (2007) and she was so impressed that she chose to keep it. At the age of 15, she persuaded her parents to let her to move to Hollywood by putting together an PowerPoint presentation that was appropriately titled Project Hollywood. Her first experience in acting at the age of 11 age at the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she played in over 16 performances on stage as well as performing in the theatre's comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan also acted in the Valley Youth Theatre.
