Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on 2 December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics. She won numerous competitions and the like. Britney was an excellent performer and dancer. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of eight. She was rejected due to her young age. She was then referred to "Ruthless" Off-Broadway production, in which she performed as the title character for two years. At the age of 11, she tried again to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). The second time, she was one of the mouseketeers along with others of the stars of today, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. In the late 90s Britney was signed to Jive Recording Artist. Britney was an enormous success following the release of her debut album "...Baby one more time" in 1999. The album also sold 13 million copies (as as of July 2001), of her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a huge sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with idols such as Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was always singing, regardless of what else was going on in the world around her. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) when she was eight. But she was too old to be accepted. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and her baby sister. She was a part of numerous TV commercials and was also the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. Britney discovered her passion for music and dance two years later when she auditioned once more for "Mickey Mouse", winning the part alongside Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
